Favourite quote: 'Being a writer is like having homework every night for the rest of your life'

Writer and Director of the short film “South East Cleaning Services” (2010).

Edinburgh International Film Festival Programmer for fiction feature films.

PGD in Screenwriting from Screen Academy Scotland.

A screenwriter from an early age it was advice from the crime novelist Ian Rankin which persuaded me to start writing short stories and novels.

When I wrote screenplays they were for the films I wanted to watch, now I write the stories I want to read.

I like my stories to be extreme, whatever the genre, whether that be dark humour, or extreme horror or thrillers.

Having completed my first novel, I am currently working on releasing a collection of short stories as well as starting on my second novel.
