Daniela Acitelli // Voice Artist

Featured in the audiobook of Twisted50

My name is Daniela Acitelli and I’m a professional Audiobook Narrator with a Theatre, Film, Cabaret and Circus background.  You can find me on Audible, Itunes and Amazon and I am also an official narrator for the RNIB and Listen2aBook publishing.

I am an actress with stage training. I’ve studied the Meisner technique and Lee Strasberg’s “Method” acting. I have a background in and a great love of Cabaret and Vaudeville including the old time concert saloon, minstrelsy, circus acts, dime museums, and literary American burlesque shows.

I sincerely believe that a wonderful audiobook can transport your listeners to another world. I’d love to work with you to bring your characters to life.

I am based an hour outside of London and can travel easily to record in studio. I also have a professional home studio which enables me to fully record and edit to a high standard.

‘doG liveD’, audio excerpt by Troll Dahl

When I was first contacted by Helen Lloyd to audition for the short story 'doG liveD' written by Troll Dahl I was over the moon for three reasons.

First, I was honoured to be asked to participate in anything with Helen Lloyd (who I’m in slight awe of). Second, I’ve been wanting to narrate a truly scary story since I started this narration gig. Finally, I am so happy to be included in a volume of work alongside some of the narrators that I’ve loved listening to for years.

I immediately bought the book and proceeded to read it on the train on the way to a voice over job. To say I enjoyed it would be an understatement.

It would be more accurate to say I missed my stop I was so thoroughly caught up in it and embarrassed myself trying frantically to get back across London finally skidding in the door of the studio sideways mumbling something about incredible horror stories.

When I was asked to narrate 'doG liveD’ I was ecstatic. It’s delightfully descriptive and creepy. There’s something about the way Troll Dahl creates an atmosphere that will ensure I have nightmares for a very long time. Brilliant!
